Minimum 1 working day residency in Australia prior to the wedding ceremony
To marry in Australia you must be 18 years or over
Certificate of intent to marry to be obtained from the Australian Consulate and signatures of both parties witnessed by an Australian Consular Official or Notary Public. The form can also be downloaded off the web at www.ag.gov.au/celebrants (go to Notice of Intended Marriage form). This is deemed an original document and you need to send pages 3 & 4 (original).
We must receive the certificate of Intent to Marry no later than 6 weeks prior to the wedding day.

Certificate of Intent to Marry (original copy)
Photocopy of Birth Certificate and Passport and original form of Intent to Marry must be received in Australia by a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the wedding date.
Passports to be sighted by the Celebrant on Day of Ceremony, if applicable
Original Birth Certificate must be sighted by Celebrant on day of Ceremony
If divorced - your Decree Absolute
If widowed - your spouses Death Certificate & previous Marriage Certificate
Legal proof of any name changes by deed poll.
