Property Description

Monsoon Villas are two architecturally Asian influenced villas perched on the downward side of Flagstaff hill with idyllic views to the east south and west across treetops and over to the water. Both are made of solid rendered concrete and Villa B is available to a lucky few for holiday rental.

Access to the property is via remote controlled steel feature gates that have been designed to represent bamboo. Monsoon Villa B is down the bottom of the driveway and their is a two car carport for your rent a car just outside the huge solid timber front door again designed with an Asian influence.

As you enter you immediately feel you have entered a warm inviting villa and are just about to be greeted by a bowing Balinese or Thai house person in full regalia but alas when you finally come to your senses you wake up and realize it is up to you to carry your own bags to your rooms.

The formal entry leads to the living space of the holiday villa which is furnished with imported Asian timber tables, cabinets and couches with soft white cushions and rattan weaved ceilings and a big use of timber all thru the villas construction. This room is dominated by floor to ceiling bi fold doors to the out door balconies and the small lounging pool which is shaped like the arched back of a woman for you to lie in and cool off in the sunshine.
Beside this pool is a barbeque and breakfast bar area leading of the kitchen which is tucked away in the corner and has a double fridge, double sink, gas cook top, stainless steel preparation bench tops and exhaust fan.

On this same level you have a double bedroom with ensuite a double vanity basin and a sunken shower with travertine floors and bamboo weaved ceilings.

The winding travertine stair case leads to the three bedrooms downstairs and in this zone you have another private swimming pool to the right that is bathed in sunshine to service these rooms.
One of these double bedrooms has an ensuite with a sunken shower and single basin with travertine marble floors and walls. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk in shower and toilet. This bathroom also leads to the laundry and outdoor hanging area.
These other two rooms are a made up of a twin room and a double room.

All rooms in the holiday Villa are air conditioned and also have ceiling fans. Monsoon Villa B really feels like an earthy home with the use of stone, steel, timber and water all around providing that tranquil feel under the rainforest canopy.

Port Douglas is an hour's scenic drive away from Cairns, Australia, along the tropical Reef and Rainforest Coast. Right in the heart of Port Douglas tucked away between Macrossan and Murphy Streets.
