The weather in Port Douglas around Christmas time is sunny and warm.  There is no better way to spend Christmas Day than lounging around a resort pool, sipping your favourite cocktail in a bikini!  The kids will love splashing in the pool during the day and running along the beach, building sand castles.

Port Douglas offers a great selection of accomodation, with something to suit everyone.  If you are a family visiting Port Douglas for Christmas, a private holiday house or self contained apartment is a really good option.  A holiday house will allow plenty of room to spread out for large groups or families.  Most holiday houses have their own private pool or spa and have a location close to the beach or Macrossan Street which is the main street of Port Douglas.  Self contained apartments are another popular option for families travelling to Port Douglas for a tropical Christmas.
