This five star restaurant is located within the Sea Temple Resort and Spa Port Douglas. Bale

Bale is the signature restaurant of Peppers Bale Resort Port Douglas and the gourmet French inspired cuisine will not fail to disappoint. Their signature dishes include confit chicken, duck breast, and Black Angus steak. With your meal, choose a delicious drop from their drinks menu which features the finest Australian and New Zealand wines. Bale is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Mango Jam

This fully licensed restaurant has twice been the recipient of the Best Family Restaurant in Far North Queensland. A favourite spot for locals, Mango Jam is known for their mouth watering gourmet wood fired pizzas and delectable desserts. Located right in the heart of the trendy Macrossan Street, relax on their large open air patio and let the friendly staff take care of your every request. Mango Jam is open daily from 12.00pm for lunch and dinner.

Zinc Restaurant

This award winning restaurant offers causal alfresco dining throughout the day. It is no wonder as to why the comfortable restaurant was the 2009 recipient of the Restaurant and Catering Award for Excellence. Their lunch and dinner menus feature local seafood options including oysters, Moreton Bay bugs, and barramundi. Zinc has their very own lounge which serves over 70 different cocktails and has its own menu of lighter fare perfect for sharing. Open daily from 12.00pm for lunch and 5.30pm for dinner, Zinc is located on Macrossan Street.

Lagoons Restaurant

Lagoons Restaurant is located within the sprawling grounds of Sheraton Mirage Resort. The restaurant is stylish and sophisticated and features all day dining with a buffet breakfast and dinner and al a carte lunch. Lagoons are open early from 6.30am - 9.30pm daily.

Nautilus Restaurant

Operating for over 50 years, Nautilus Restaurant boasts a five star a la carte menu featuring delicious local seafood. A highlight is a six course chefs tasting menu which is sure to delight even the most experienced fine dining connoisseur. Set amongst lush tropical gardens make sure you do not forget to order at least one of their signature cocktails, the Nautilus Mango Daiquiri. The icy treat is sure to get you in the tropical mood. Located on Murphy Street, Nautilus Restaurant is open daily at 6.00pm for pre dinner drinks with the first table available at 6.30pm.

Salsa Bar and Grill

At Salsa Bar and Grill each dish is bursting with flavour. With tiger prawns, squid, yabbies, smoked chicken, and crocodile sausages, Salsa puts a seafood twist on their signature Jambalaya. For the tamer pallet try the macadamia and herb crusted wild barramundi. Located on Wharf Street, Salsa Bar and Grill boasts full cocktail and wine menus and is open for lunch and dinner.

Harrison's

Harrison's is touted as the best restaurant in Port Douglas and with one of the world's finest chefs as its owner; it is as no surprise as to why. Spencer Patrick was the youngest chef to date to earn a Michelin star. A patron to Harrison's can expected fine French influenced cuisine served in an alfresco space. For those who want the ultimate Harrison's experience, why not book the chefs table where up to six people will savour dishes including a 9 hour slow braised ox cheek with caramelised onion and truffle mash right in the heart of the kitchen. On Sunday's, Harrison's offers a traditional English lunch of roast beef with all the trimmings. Located on Macrossan Street, Harrison's is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner Tuesday - Saturday and for breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

2 Fish Restaurant

For the ultimate seafood lover, 2 Fish Restaurant is for you. From oysters, cuttlefish, smoked eel, yabbies, ocean trout, shell scallops, to kingfish 2 Fish Restaurant has just about every delicious fish for you to enjoy. Each dish is prepared with either an Asian or French flare and the wine list boasts plenty of suitable options to accompany any meal. This award winning restaurant is located on Wharf Street. 2 Fish Restaurant is open daily from 12.00pm - 2.30pm for lunch and from 6.00pm - 9.00pm for dinner.

Bluewater Bistro

A great place for families, the Bluewater Bistro is located at the Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club and is just meters away from the stunning Four Mile Beach. Everyone is sure to find something they enjoy on the menu which features pizzas, burgers, seafood, and pasta. Bluewater Bistro has a great happy hour from 3.00pm - 5.30pm where you can get a beer and your choice of chilled prawns or wedges for around $17. They are open daily for lunch from 11.00am and for dinner at 5.30pm.

Bistro 3

This vibrantly decorated restaurant has a menu jam packed with fresh local products and plenty of vegetarian options. Their signature dish, Daintree saltwater whole crispy baby barramundi served with a rich red curry sauce, is farmed at the nearby Wonga Beach and delivered fresh to the restaurant daily. Featuring a good selection of beer and wine, Bistro 3 also has many decadent cocktails on offer. Located on the corner of Macrossan and Wharf Streets, Bistro 3 is open daily for lunch and dinner.

On The Inlet

Located right on the waterfront of the Dickson Inlet, this casual waterfront restaurant has some of the best seafood dishes in town. There is no better way than to spend an evening than watching the large boats come and go in the Marina while feasting on one of their signature seafood platters. A locals favourite, the platter is loaded with mud crabs, prawns, baby octopus, red claw, yabbies, oysters, sashimi, mussels, and Moreton Bay bugs. On The Inlet is open daily for lunch at 12.00pm and dinner commences at 5.30pm.

Finz

This year Finz Seafood restaurant was named Best New Restaurant in Far North Queensland. While their menu is geared towards the seafood lover, they also offer other dishes including ricotta and rocket cannelloni and grilled vegetable and bocconcini stack. If you are in the mood for a beach side picnic, Finz has takeaway fish and chips available. Located on Macrossan Street just a short walk form Four Mile Beach, Finz is open daily for lunch at 12.00pm and from 5.30pm for dinner.

Hog's Breath Café

A favourite for children, Hog's Breath Café is located right next to the Balley Hooley train Station on Wharf Street. Featuring all the meals you have come to know and love, the Port Douglas branch of Hog's Breath Café is open daily from 11.30am till late.

Quite a number of the hotels and resorts in and around Port Douglas have their own in house restaurants which is always very convenient especially if you arrive late or are travelling with children and they can offer room service at all sorts of hours
