A length of 4 Mile Beach then through the outskirts of Port Douglas to the Mowbray Valley.
After 6km reaching the Mowbray River at Diggers Bridge (known as Crocodile Creek!) following a stretch up the hill of Spring Creek Road passing Spring Creek (Crocodile free!).
The course continues into the Daintree Rainforest towards the steep Bump Track. The route back passes through sugar cane fields and some of the most picturesque scenery the region has to offer.
Returning via 4 Mile Beach to the Port Douglas Esplanade to the finish line.
